Jonathan Whitney

Strategic Communications Consultant

Jonathan is Head of Communications of the Wellbeing Research Centre at the University of Oxford and Strategic Communications Consultant for the World Wellbeing Movement, of which the Centre is a founding partner and academic lead.

He is a trained journalist accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists (NCTJ) and has a background in academic research communications, having joined the Wellbeing Research Centre from the University of Leicester. He has also held communications roles in the charity and sporting sectors.

Jonathan is responsible for managing all content and communications output across the Wellbeing Research Centre in support of the research team, and works closely with the Managing Director in advising on strategic communications from the World Wellbeing Movement. He also serves as Strategic Communications Consultant to the World Happiness Report.
