Lord Professor Richard Layard has launched an international manifesto urging nations, organisations and individuals alike to “put wellbeing first”.

World Wellbeing Movement co-founder Lord Professor Richard Layard has launched an international manifesto urging nations, organisations and individuals alike to “put wellbeing first”.

First revealed at the World Happiness Summit earlier this year alongside Summit organiser WOHASU’s CEO and founder, and fellow World Wellbeing Movement Board member, Karen Guggenheim, the Como Wellbeing Manifesto – so named for the Summit’s host location in 2023 – sets out the key pillars of a wellbeing-first society.

The manifesto’s calls to action are informed by Lord Layard’s long-standing career in happiness economics and his experience as a policymaker.
