Insights from the UK Wellbeing Report 2024

Sarah Cunningham discusses the UK Wellbeing Report 2024 on BBC Radio East of England's happiness themed radio show, on the International Day of Happiness.

To recognise the International Day of Happiness back in March, BBC Radio East of England dedicated their afternoon show to the theme of happiness. Our Managing Director, Sarah Cunningham, was invited on to discuss the findings from our UK Wellbeing Report, published that same day.

In the interview, Sarah emphasised the need for the government to take action by committing to put wellbeing first in policy-making, especially as the UK general election approaches. She delves into the concerning findings from our report, which reveal significant disparities in happiness levels across different regions of the UK.

It is vital that the next administration considers every single policy decision through a wellbeing lens to ensure a healthier, happier, and fairer society. So many policy areas impact our wellbeing; housing, public transport, education, healthcare, employment opportunities, proximity to green spaces, access to sports, and so much more.
